The festive season is so close now, and many people will choose to shop online to speed up the process of getting through that shopping list! It’s important to be aware of websites selling fake goods, and the Domain Name Commission (DNC) have just the tool to help consumers learn to stay safe when shopping online.
Yesterday the DNC launched https://fakewebshop.nz/ as part of their #ShopSafeNZ campaign which runs until 01st January. Their goal is to build awareness of fake websites for online shopping. The website they have created has handy tips to help users identify fake websites and ensure they are having a safer online shopping experience.
It uses a similar format to that of our Scam Savvy tools at https://www.getscamsavvy.co.nz/ and BNZ are proud to support the DNC during this campaign!
This is very timely before the Black Friday sales and the upcoming Boxing Day sales.
