Priceguard BNZ Platinum

If I use my BNZ Platinum Visa to buy vouchers and then use those vouchers to buy a product will that transaction still be covered by the Priceguard cover?

The reason I ask is that I can buy vouchers for the retailer at a discount. I am intending to buy a smartwatch but also expect it may be discounted in the future for Labour Day sales.

The vouchers will be bought entirely with the Platinum card and the watch will be bought entirely with the vouchers bought on the platinum card, therefore the watch will be bought entirely with the Platinum card (but indirectly). Will this situation be covered?

The alternative is to wait to buy, but if I am covered I will purchase now.

Hi @Sam01. PriceGuard Insurance will reimburse a Platinum cardholder the price difference if within 30 days they find the same item they purchased in full with their Platinum card advertised for a lower price. The credit card has to be used to directly purchase the goods in full, so therefore PriceGuard is not relevant for purchasing vouchers of any kind. Thanks, Emma
