Payment in wrong account

I was doing a money transfer to a ANZ account because I made a purchase off of TradeMe. I put his ANZ account number in which ended in 00, but I accidentally added three (000) zeros instead of two. The guy hasn’t received payment and I’m wondering where it has gone. If someone can help, It would be much appreciated.

Hey Tom, I wouldn’t worry because adding an extra 0 on the end won’t make a difference as long as the rest of the account number is correct. In regards to the receiver not having received the payment, this may be because the payment itself doesn’t qualify for same day clearance. I’d recommend waiting 24 hours from when you sent the payment - if he still hasn’t received it give us a call and we can look into it for you. Any other questions let us know :slight_smile:
