My mum paid money into my account, but put the wrong suffix. She typed 8 instead of 0. I do not have an account with the suffix 8. What do we do now? Will the money be returned to her account and how long does it take to bounce back?
Any funds paid into a suffix that doesn’t exist should automatically bounce back. It usually appears back in the origin account after the next business day.
If the funds have not been returned to her account, she may need to give her bank a call to find out where the money ended up.
